Tom Agger

As the Clean Buildings Manager at Clean Wisconsin, Tom works to shape state and local policy around building decarbonization, electrification and efficiency in Wisconsin. Their work includes advocating for stronger building codes, working with local governments to assist in the implementation of energy benchmarking programs, and pushing for better solar-enabling policies at the state level.

Tom recently received a Master of Public Affairs and a Master of Science in Environmental Science from Indiana University with a focus on environmental justice and sustainable development. During his studies, Tom held positions at the EPA’s Office of Air and Radiation and at a Portuguese conservation nonprofit called Liga Para a Protecção da Natureza. Prior to attaining their degree, Tom worked as a Patent Examiner, a construction estimator, and a Peace Corps volunteer in Cambodia.
